ABOUT YAM

Yachting Association of Maharashtra

Functioning under the umbrella of the Yachting Association of India (YAI), YAM plays a pivotal role in promoting and developing sailing within the state while adhering to national and international standards.

Set up as the Yacht Racing Association, the YAM has since become the Maharashtra statel governing body for dinghy, motor and sail cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sportsboats, windsurfing and personal watercraft and a leading representative body for inland waterways cruising.

The YAM exists to get more people into boating and watersport activities, promote safe boating practices and raise the standards of yachting and sailing in the India and Maharashtra through its network of YAM recognised training centres in all districts of State Of Maharashtr, and YAM affiliated clubs.
